Domingo To Perform Verdi, Zarzuela In Opera Budapest Tonight

Renowned Spanish tenor Placido Domingo will appear on stage at the Shakespeare Ball in the Budapest State Opera on Feb. 6, László Parragh, the chief patron of the event, said.
Domingo will perform arias by Verdi during the first part of the programme. In the second part, he will sing traditional Zarzuela as a “personal gift” to the Hungarian audience, organisers of the event said earlier.
The last time Domingo performed on the Hungarian stage was in 1987.
