More & Cheaper Tickets Available To See Domingo In Budapest
- 5 Feb 2016 4:00 AM
"Due to huge demand", the Hungarian State Opera is adding more than 100 tickets to the total available for a performance by Plácido Domingo on February 6, said general director Szilveszter Ókovács. As a result, more than 1,200 spectators can enjoy the performance as the Opera House stages an evening of songs celebrating William Shakespeare. Moreover, the new tickets will be cheaper than the original tickets.
In the first part of the show Domingo will perform arias by Verdi and in the second part will sing songs in the Spanish zarzuela style as a “personal gift” to the Hungarian audience.
Ókovács recalled that Domingo last performed in Hungary in 1987. Domingo will mark his 75th birthday on January 21.
