Foreigner Dies After Being Reject By Budapest Hospitals
A 37-year-old foreign woman died last Wednesday after an operation, having been turned away from three hospitals in Budapest. An ambulance was called when the woman collapsed in the 12th District at 2:30 in the afternoon last Wednesday, March 9th.

She was taken first to the St. Imre hospital, which rejected her, the St. János Hospital, which said it had no free beds, then the St. Margit Hospital, which also rejected her, as it has no stroke centre.

The ambulance returned to the St. Imre Hospital, where the woman underwent surgery from 6:30. However, she later died due to intestinal bleeding.

The Ambulance Service contradicted the report and said the woman was admitted to a hospital at 3:30 following a call at 2:32.
