Hungarian and Japanese officials agreed during the meeting that, though the number of tourists arriving at Hungary for a visit has been on the rise, the pace of the increase could be faster, the tourism agency said in a statement.

During a visit to Japan on May 18-19, the commissioner met the heads of the Japan Tourism Agency and the Japan National Tourism Association, as well as the minister of education, culture, sports, science and technology, Hiroshi Hase.
