The Budapest Festival Orchestra will give free chamber concerts in communities around the country between June 15 and 24, the ensemble said on Sunday. The concert series has been designed to take classical music to people who have no access to or cannot afford such performances, the orchestra said. The orchestra’s chamber group will perform concerts at churches in Pannonhalma, Sellye and Hódmezővásárhely.
They will perform in synagogues in Mátészalka, Bonyhád and Kunszentmárton. Children’s concerts will take place in the villages of Bódvaszilas, Tiszaszalka and Told. The orchestra will also perform chamber concerts in twelve retirement homes.
