Budafok Champagne & Wine Festival, Budapest, 3 - 4 September
The XXII. district of Budapest, Budafok-Tétény, says goodbye to the summer with champagne and wine between 3 - 4 September, just like every year. Visitors can also try a wide variety of streetfood as well.

The festival represents millenary traditions. Many-many years ago, with the extraction of stone it became obvious that it would be perfect to store wine in the cellars.

Thanks to the practised keepers of Jenő Savoyai’s property, the culture of grapes and wine production started to flourish in the XVIII. century. Budafok became the centre of Hungary’s wine trade in the XIX. century.

The legendary figure of champagne production, József Törley, also started his factory there.
