The then 41-year-old man kicked a 74-year-old woman from behind at the No. 4/6 tram stop on the Buda bridge head of Margit híd. The woman fell onto the tracks and was struck by an arriving tram. The victim died on the spot. The man tried to flee the scene but was held back by pedestrians.
