Cabinet Office Minister Rogán Lied About Travel By Helicopter
- 4 Oct 2016 9:00 AM
After landing at Budaörs airport, he was taken away in a rented Mercedes, the newspaper reports.
Rogán, who a few years ago claimed that he cannot afford as an MP what he could as a private citizen, denied that he had travelled by helicopter, telling the newspaper that they must have mixed him up with someone else.
After the newspaper sent Rogán a photograph of him stepping out of the helicopter and into the Mercedes, the head of helicopter leasing company FlyCoop, Tamás Jakab, said he had made the helicopter available to his business partner Cecília Rogán, to bring her family home from the wedding so that they would not have to travel with their little son overnight.
Such helicopter rides cost Ft 250,000 per hour, according to Népszabadság.
