Drivers of electric cars will soon have more options at their disposal for charging their vehicles now that the economy ministry has committed to spending 600 million forints (EUR 1.9m) on installing 250 new charging points around the capital, with each station providing two chargers.
The ministry said in a statement that it had signed cooperation agreements with the Budapest metropolitan council as part of its electromobility plan.
Budapest will provide the space for the charging station and the ministry will provide financial support for installing the equipment.
