Digi Postpones Mobile Services Launch
Romanian-registered cable, internet and telecom service provider Digi, winner of the state tender to launch a fourth mobile-phone company in Hungary, is in the testing phase of its service, Index reports.

Digi’s Hungarian launch was originally scheduled for 2017, then was postponed to 2018.

Market players have been bracing for the entrance of Hungary’s fourth mobile operator since Digi was awarded a license in 2014 to set up its mobile network.

Reports say that Digi has begun building mobile towers and other infrastructure.

The telecoms authority NMHH has set a June 15 date for Digi’s launch of its mobile service.
