Hungarian car owners paid over HUF 57,000, on average, for their annual compulsory vehicle insurance premiums in the fourth quarter, 8pc more than in the same period a year earlier, a report by the National Bank of Hungary (NBH) shows.
After-tax profit of Austrian-owned Erste Bank Hungary reached HUF 132bn in 2024, climbing from HUF 115bn in 2023, the bank said.
