The European Commission stands with the LGBTQ community in Hungary, and in every other EU member state, the European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice and Rule of Law, said in a plenary session of the European Parliament.
Someone is producing a series of fake social media profiles of Hungarian opposition MEPs, and is using them to attribute false statements to the politicians. One such fake account has been cited as real by pro-Fidesz media.
Dezső Farkas, the new leader of Tisza Party grassroots organisation Tisza Islands, is filing a police report against "paid trolls of the propaganda media" for defamation and libel, Peter Magyar, the party’s leader said on Facebook.
"We will recover from the war, we are at arm's length from peace," Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in a year-end interview broadcast on public media.
