Floating Waste Flowing Down On River Tisza In Hungary
Large quantities of waste material floating along the Tisza river from Ukraine and Romania have almost become a permanent problem, Hungarian water management authority OVF said yesterday.

The OVF said its workers had collected 1,340 bags of waste in the upper section of the river on Tuesday, and had cleared a kilometre of riverbank over the past three days.

The OVF has started to use waste collection boats and barges in Tivadar, Vásárosnamény and Aranyosapáti on the Tisza and in Olcsva on the Szamos river.
