The Tisza Party is supported by 26% of decided voters, behind Fidesz at 39%, and ahead of the alliance of the Democratic Coalition, Socialist and Dialogue parties, according to the latest survey by Závecz Research, commissioned by RTL.
Hungary will stay out of “NATO’s insane action” despite all pressure on the country, the foreign minister said, adding that “it will however be a long fight, in which the upcoming EP election, when people can express their opinion on war or peace, will be an important point”.
Left-liberal authors disapprove of the government’s confrontational attitude towards the European Union, while their pro-government colleagues hope that the June elections will produce a new political order in Brussels.
Hungary needs love and peace; it needs to bury the trenches, and a leadership that “doesn’t pretend to be rural and family-friendly, or Christian, but works every day in the interest of the Hungarian people,”
