Budapest Beer Festival @ 'Liberty Square', 5 – 10 June

This annual beer fest is held for the third time in the centre of the city at Szabadság tér. For the first time this year the festival is preparing its own beer with the help of consumers, say the organisers.
The point of the initiative, unique to Hungary, is that by answering a questionnaire participants can influence the festival's beer, among other things the alcohol content and color. So beer-lovers have determined the parameters of the festival’s beer this year.
Those who participated in the questionnaire also choose whether they wanted to drink a beer with more hops, or less, or whether it is lager or ale type that will be available...
Go along to find out they say, plus of course there are many more beers to enjoy. International brews will be on show as well as beers by large local beer makers, plus smaller artisan breweries.
Along with a great selection of local and foreign beers, there'll be street-food plus concerts.

However buying a festival glass is obligatory for tasting.
