Old Cold Weather Records Broken In Hungary
National and Budapest daytime cold records were broken on Monday, the National Weather Service stated on its website.

A temperature of 4.4C was previously the lowest maximum recorded for May 6, registered at Kékestető in 1957.

On Monday, 2.3C was measured as a high at Kékestető, setting a record low maximum temperature for the day. 

In Budapest, the temperature was measured at 5.5C on János-hegy, breaking the record of 6.6C measured 133 years ago in Krisztinaváros, the First District.
