Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport has introduced extraordinary measures to deal with extremely high passenger traffic expected in late July and early August, the airport operator announced on Friday.
The Maccabi Europe Games, the Formula-1 Hungarian Grand Prix and the Sziget Festival are expected to generate heavy traffic with daily passenger numbers exceeding 50,000 in the coming days.
As a result, the airport has introduced measures such as early baggage drop-off, enhanced queue management and a new security screening lane to facilitate the fast flow of passengers.
Budapest Airport is also asking passengers to come to the airport earlier than usual.
