Hungarian Tax Authority To Waive Half Of Uncontested Fines
NAV is cancelling half of its penalty for unpaid taxes if the amounts due are paid without dispute, the tax authority announced on Thursday.

The measure is a favour to taxpayers and generates extra revenues for the budget, the NAV said.

Non-disputed, voluntary payments came to Ft 8 billion in 2018 and Ft 3 billion so far this year.

Cancelled fines reached Ft 881 million last year and Ft 521 million so far in 2019.
