Hungary’s Retail Sales Grow By 6.3% In September
Retail sales in Hungary grew by an annual 6.3% in September, accelerating from a 5.3% rate of increase in August, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.

Calendar-adjusted data show retail sales were up 5.8% year on year in September.

Adjusted food sales were up 3%, non-food sales grew by 8.6%, while vehicle fuel sales were up 6.1%. In the non-food segment, adjusted retail sales of non-specialised stores rose by 12%.

In absolute terms, retail sales were worth 1,025 billion forints in September. In January-September, retail sales rose by 5.8%, according to both unadjusted and calendar year-adjusted data.

Adjusted food sales rose by 3.2%, non-food sales by 8.7% and fuel sales by 6.9%.
