Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó discussed the war in Ukraine and bilateral relations with Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in New York on Tuesday.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a “nonsensical accusation” against Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, the foreign minister, said on his Facebook.
The Hungarian government wants to develop its cooperation with Belarus in all areas that are not affected by the EU’s sanctions against Russia, the foreign minister said in Minsk, adding that Belarus was also ready to cooperate.
A left-wing analyst urges FM Szíjjártó to resign, because it turned out that his ministry lied when it denied the Russian cyber-attacks, while a pro-government pundit accuses the Left of falsely accusing the government of what they are doing themselves – selling out Hungary’s interests.
