Budapest Advent and Christmas Fair

In the heart of Budapest, Vörösmarty Square is no different. The Christmas Fair welcomes children with exciting programmes, charming light-painting and entertaining performances year after year. It will feature spectacular performances by Zabszalma at 11.00 am and MASZK puppet theatre at 2.00 pm.

There is no reason to be disappointed either if you are busy this weekend: music and theatre programmes await children and their parents every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas, and a heated arts and crafts playhouse will also welcome guests who are adventurous enough to try their hands at making Advent wreaths, candles, elf puppets or door ornaments every day of the week.

Budapest Circus

Those who would like to discover another magical world after the Christmas Fair will surely enjoy Budapest Circus’ show, “A Dream Covered in Snow – An Ancient Circus Tale”.

Brave heroes, shamans and ice fairies will welcome children and guide them through the colourful tale full of adventures.

Superfly Trampoline Park

Head to Superfly Trampoline Park with children who want to experience first-hand what it’s really like to be an acrobat.

Young and older guests will have a chance to try trampolines, ninja tracks, swing falls, free-fall slides, a parkour area, a wall tramp and a sponge pit in the 2000 m2 amusement park.

Pinball Museum

Even tweens will enjoy Budapest’s extraordinary Pinball Museum, where it’s also possible to play with the exhibited items, not just look at them.

Visitors can try all the 130 pinball machines in the world famous collection, so make sure you allocate several hours for visiting the museum.

Tropicarium

Escape from winter temperatures and visit the Tropicarium. The indoor animal park known as the “Zoo with sharks” features rays that can be pet, alligators, exotic reptiles and amphibians while providing visitors with an opportunity to marvel at the charming beauty of the underwater world.

Excitement is guaranteed, especially on Thursdays at 3.00 pm, when sharks are having their lunchtime.
