New Trolleybuses To Enter Service In Budapest
New Solaris-Skoda trolleybuses will enter into service in Budapest this week, the Budapest Transport Centre has announced.

The ten solo and eleven articulated trolley-buses successfully completed their test runs without passengers.

These vehicles are equipped with air-conditioning units and have low floors, so as to enable physically disabled people and those using baby carriages to comfortably use them.

At present, 36 trolleybuses from earlier generations run on Budapest streets.

All of the new vehicles have been equipped with cameras, enhancing passenger security, and providing help in preventing deliberate damage and identifying any perpetrators.

The purchase is financed by Ft 3.891 trillion in EU funds. Budapest city council has also contributed to take the full sum of procurement above Ft 3.9 trillion.
