Hungary is witnessing an epidemic of influenza-type illnesses, with respiratory syncytial virus a big factor in the equation, the chief medical officer said.
New Covid variants present in Hungary are no reason for concern because they are causing only mild symptoms despite being more contagious than previous variants, János Szlávik, chief infectologist at the South Pest Centrum Hospital, told public broadcaster M1.
