Hungary's shops, malls, and services scale back or shut down over Christmas and New Year. Plan ahead—most supermarkets, post offices, and pharmacies close fully on key days.
Aldi Hungary runs a three-day Christmas market December 19-21 at its District XIII store parking lot (Pannónia utca 59–63), open daily 3-9 p.m. Food matches in-store prices, with all proceeds going to the Hungarian Food Bank.
