Low-Cost Retailer to Open Its Own Christmas Market in Downtown Budapest
Aldi Hungary runs a three-day Christmas market December 19-21 at its District XIII store parking lot (Pannónia utca 59–63), open daily 3-9 p.m. Food matches in-store prices, with all proceeds going to the Hungarian Food Bank.

Expect kenyérlángos for HUF 399, mulled wine at HUF 450 (0.3L), tea for HUF 200, and hot dog rolls (two sausages, braised cabbage, fried onions) for HUF 800. Kids ride a free carousel all three days.

Free tastings cover seasonal items like fruit-filled milk chocolate cakes, Christmas candies, coconut macaroons, panettone, Nuremberg gingerbread, marzipan loaves, and almonds—plus Aldi's private-label holiday range.

On December 19 (7-8 p.m.), meet Aldi TikTok stars: Eszter Veress (Miss World Hungary runner-up), Csaba Kenessey (Jürgen), and bodybuilder Jenő Kiss.

Bernhard Haider, Aldi Hungary managing director, said the event makes festive markets accessible at low costs while supporting charity: "The Christmas spirit is complete when it brings joy to others."
