In 2019, the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary was celebrated. 

Today, China is Hungary’s biggest trading partner outside of the European Union. It is also developing into an even more important FDI investor here, as Hungary has become the number 1 location in CEE for Chinese foreign direct investments, while already having the highest Chinese FDI/inhabitant ratio.
