Hungarian Railway Company Issues Bodycams To Conductors
MÁV-Start is purchasing an additional 1,000 body cameras for its conductors, to help prevent attacks against employees, the state-owned passenger railway company announced on Sunday.

Body cameras were introduced at MÁV in September 2019. Since then, the company has installed 169 of them.

A conductor was attacked on Saturday night by two people who refused to purchase tickets on a train in Nyíregyháza.

Police have detained the suspects.

There were 123 attacks on MÁV conductors in 2018, dropping to 70 in 2019 and to 65 last year.
