Olympians to Get HUF 2.4 Billion in Rewards
All Hungarian Olympic medal winners and those athletes who finished among the top eight in their event will receive a cash prize from the government.

They will receive Ft 50 million for gold medals, Ft 35.7 million for silver and Ft 28.5 million for bronze, down to Ft 2.8 million for an eighth-place finish.

In total, Hungary’s Olympians will receive Ft 2.4 billion in prizes.

Blikk has calculated that three athletes will each be rewarded more than Ft 100 million for their outstanding performance.

Kayakers Tamara Csipes and Danuta Kozák will be paid Ft 107.2 million and Ft 100 million, respectively, while swimmer Kristóf Milák will also receive Ft 100 million.
