Hungary's prime minister-elect Peter Magyar has had talks by phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and invited him to Budapest, the Israeli foreign ministry said on its website on Wednesday.
Peter Magyar, the leader of the Tisza Party, on Wednesday said President Tamas Sulyok will formally invite him to form the next government. Magyar met the president after Sulyok invited the leaders of the parties with mandates in the new parliament to attend talks at Sandor Palace.
Slovenian acting Prime Minister Robert Golob on Monday congratulated by phone Peter Magyar on his victory in Hungary's election and accepted an invitation from Magyar to visit Budapest in May, the Slovenian government said in a post on X.
Peter Magyar said on Monday that as prime minister, his first foreign visit would be to the Polish capital. At an international press conference in Budapest, he emphasised his commitment to rebuilding Hungarian-Polish relations.
