Watch: Hungarian Police Carry Out Major Drug Bust with FBI Help
Agents of the National Investigation Bureau carried out co-ordinated raids on six places against drug traffickers in Budapest, Hatvan and Apc on Tuesday.

Investigators seized Ft 36 million in cash, along with luxury watches, jewellery and two BMWs. In addition, some 3,000 MDMA ecstasy tablets and a kilogram of marijuana were found.

A police video of the raid posted online said that the criminal organisation had been shut down with the help of “21st-century methods “.

This means that the Hungarian drug dealers were caught via encrypted telephones developed by the FBI.

The FBI developed an app called ANoM with the Australian Federal Police. The app was then made popular in criminal circles around the world.

Criminals believed it was a secure communications platform, however, it was a trap the FBI had set up.
