Tisza Party Donations & Profit: Who Contributed & How Much?
Hungarians donated more than Ft 3.1 billion to the Tisza Party in 2025, according to the annual financial report released by party leader and Prime Minister Péter Magyar.

The party recorded a profit of Ft 180 million, a sharp reversal from the Ft 36 million loss in the previous year.

Magyar said the party’s funding came exclusively from Hungarian citizens.

More than 100,000 people contributed, including nearly 70,000 regular donors.

A total of 178 supporters donated more than Ft 500,000 each, for a total of Ft 422 million.

The remaining Ft 2.7 billion came from smaller donations.

Among the largest disclosed donors were businessman László Bige and Anikó Bige, who jointly contributed Ft 100 million.

Several prominent Tisza politicians and supporters also contributed, including Agriculture Minister Szabolcs Bóna, culture state secretary Ervin Nagy, economist Tamás Mellár, historian Ignác Romsics, Magyar himself and Márton Melléthei-Barna, whose nomination to the post of Justice Minister was withdrawn due to the outcry that developed when it became known that he is Magyar’s brother-in-law.

In addition to donations, the party’s online store generated nearly Ft 98 million in revenue, lifting total income to Ft 3.2 billion.

Tisza’s total spending reached Ft 3.0 billion, including Ft 1.5 billion for political activities, Ft 1.4 billion in operating costs, and more than Ft 79 million in asset purchases.

Personnel expenses rose to nearly Ft 1 billion, reflecting the scale of the party’s election campaign.

The report also shows a significant strengthening of the party’s financial position, with cash reserves increasing to Ft 187.5 million and equity turning from negative to positive during the year.
