Twenty Illegal Migrants Injured As Truck Veers Off Road Close to Budapest
A truck carrying illegal migrants crashed into a ditch near Üllő, in central Hungary, on Sunday, injuring 20 migrants, Pest County police said on their website.

The migrants claiming to be Indian, Afghan and Pakistani, were taken to hospital, police.hu said. Some 15 suffered serious injuries while five were lightly hurt.

The Hungarian driver, 49, was taken into custody charged with people smuggling, the statement said.

The truck was fleeing from police when it crashed near Üllő.

The truck slammed into several police cars near Cegléd before crashing some 40km further on.
