CEU Library in Budapest to Remain Open All Winter

Many libraries, higher education institutions and research institutes in Hungary are forced to close for the winter months, but the Central European University (CEU) library remains open, the institution announced.
The library accepts students and professors of Hungarian universities and colleges, researchers of the former institutes of the Academy of Sciences, and representatives of the media.
According to the CEU’s announcement, the library with more than 400,000 volumes, where 61,000 online journals and the most important social and humanities databases are available to visitors, can be visited on weekdays during working hours, as well as on Saturday afternoons.
The five-storey library with a capacity to welcome 400 people, equipped with computers is located in the main building of the CEU at Nádor utca 15 in Budapest’s Fifth District.
