Cash Deposits Via ATM Catching on in Hungary
Cash deposits made through ATMs – a quarter of total deposits – grew by 25% to Ft 2.5 trillion last year, as the number of deposits rose by 22% to 11 million deposits, according to figures from the MNB.

Data show that larger cash deposits are still made at bank branches.

The amount of cash deposited in ATMs exceeded Ft 700 billion in the last quarter of 2022.

The average transaction value last year was Ft 230,000, compared to Ft 108,000 for cash withdrawals from ATMs.

OTP bank is expanding its smart ATM network to allow more cash payments.
