Norbi Update: Serious Trouble for Fitness Guru’s Franchise in Hungary
Norbi Update Lowcarb, a lifestyle and nutrition product franchise owned by fitness guru Norbert Schobert, is facing serious financial troubles, website 24 reports.

Schobert, who founded the company known for low-carbohydrate, healthy food supplements 21 years ago, has reportedly asked his friend, Pécs-based businessman Zoltán Fazekas, to step in to save the company.

Schobert has moved away from operational tasks to focus on product development.

In an October interview, he did not rule out that he might run out of cash to finance his franchise beyond 2022.

The main logistics supplier Havi terminated its contract with Norbi Update Lowcarb as its unpaid debt may be as high as Ft 200 million, 24 learned.

According to social media sites, the company’s retail network has shrunk to 38 stores from 50-60 in December and the product portfolio has been scaled down.
