Flights Suspended: Storm Causes Major 'Snags' And Aircraft Damage At Budapest Airport
Friday night’s storm caused major snags and damage at the Liszt Ferenc International airport, while two Ryanair planes parked at the airport were damaged, Telex reports.

Traffic at the Budapest airport had to be suspended entirely during 1.45-6.00 a.m., as it was not safe for aircraft to take off or land due to the adverse weather.

Wizz Air flights from Lisbon and Corfu, a British Airways flight from London, and an Air France flight from Paris had to be rerouted to Debrecen, Vienna and Belgrade.

Most of the flights leaving Budapest early on Saturday morning were delayed.

Budapest Airport terminal buildings reportedly leaked in several places.
