Each package can contain no more than 20 nicotine sachets, and the maximum nicotine content per unit is 17mg.

Until now, neither the number of sachets nor the nicotine content were regulated.

In the future, cigarette packages must have exactly 20 cigarettes in the box, which is the current practice.

The packaging of heated tobacco products has also been specified.

The new regulations were mostly already known to tobacco industry players, due to the public consultation with the EU and its member states.
