Aldi to Continue Expanding its Network in Hungary
Aldi opened 10 new stores in Hungary this year, as in the previous years, and wants to continue expanding at this rate in the country, the local unit of the German supermarket chain said on Friday, on the occasion of the opening of the 182nd Aldi store in the country.

The company's latest store, in Budapest's District XI, is also the one with the largest sales area. With its sales area of over 1,800sqms, its almost twice as big as an average Aldi.

Aldi Hungary spent HUF 19.5bn on investments in 2024.  It had a headcount of close to 6,500 at year-end.

It has around 270 Hungarian suppliers who supply 60pc of the products sold by the chain.

Aldi had revenue of more than HUF 490bn last year, company records show.
