Non-Performing Loans at Hungarian Banks Falls Most in Region
The volume of non-performing loans at Hungarian banks fell by 9.5pc to EUR 4.2bn in the twelve months to the end of June, the largest decline among 17 countries in central, eastern and south-eastern Europe covered in a report by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The NPL ratio for Hungary's banking sector stood at 3.0pc at the end of June, falling by 0.4pp from a year earlier.

The average NPL ratio for the region was 2.08pc.
