It's worth celebrating life's fabulous and romantic moments. Every year, Valentine's Day is one of these occasions, which we can intentionally prepare for, because in the rush of everyday life, we don't always have quality time for each other.
At Matild Palace, every lady can feel like a real princess on this romantic day, because in addition to spending the evening in a real palace with her date, Spago by Wolfgang Puck Budapest, recommended by the Michelin Guide, offers an impressive 6-course dinner experience for the couples.
Meanwhile at the mysterious luxury bar, The Duchess, they can gaze up at the starry sky over delicious cocktail creations.
Spago Budapest awaits couples all year round, but on 14 February it's all about the romance, when executive chef István Szántó and his dedicated team will be serving up a truly special gastronomic experience with their masterful creations.
The sublime 6-course menu has been created to awaken the passion and affection in guests for each other. Each course is a true culinary work of art, a worthy way to celebrate their love, and the gastronomic adventure is enhanced with special champagnes and cocktails.
Appetizers include extravagant dishes such as baked pepper salsa in a crispy cone, lobster carpaccio, roasted duck liver or marinated, roasted quail with poached egg.
The main course is veal tenderloin served with crispy brisket, bresaola, creamy black salsify and wild mushrooms. And the dessert only enhances the delights, with blackberry sorbet and passion fruit - yoghurt served with cassia cinnamon granola in a special "fragile heart".
Toast to love under the stars
Couples can round off the evening at a rooftop bar with one of the most beautiful views in Budapest, where champagne glasses can be raised for the eternity of love. The Duchess's secret liquor library will also have a special treat for the evening, as visitors will be able to choose from the Amore and Giostra cocktails, specially created for the occasion, which carry the essence of eternity.
So, it's well worth heading downtown on 14 February, as everything is set for a fairy tale and a "happily ever after" adventure!
