Financial Troubles Following Divorce Lead to Third Tier Football Club in Hungary Being Bailed Out by Gov't
The government is providing Ft 470 million from the central budget reserves to keep Szombathely-based sports club Haladás afloat and support its operations as an emergency measure, according to the official gazette Magyar Közlöny.

The club’s financial troubles worsened after club president Zsolt Homlok divorced Ágnes Mészáros, the daughter of Lőrinc Mészáros, which led to a loss of state-backed business for Homlok’s companies.

The club has also struggled with the high maintenance costs of its nearly 10,000-seat stadium, built in the early 2010s.

Currently, the Haladás football team competes in the third tier, NB III.
