Waberer's Earnings Rocket in Hungary
First-quarter net income of listed haulier Waberer's reached EUR 7.5m, climbing from EUR 1.1m in the base period, a report released shows.

Revenue edged down 1pc to EUR 194.4m. While revenue of the logistics segment fell 10pc to EUR 155.9m, revenue of the insurance business jumped 87pc to EUR 38.6m, boosted by Waberer's acquisition of the Magyar Posta insurance businesses at end-2024.

Operating profit climbed 30pc to EUR 10.6m.

Waberer's booked a financial loss of EUR 0.8m, well under the EUR 5.1m in the base period.

Excluding the non-cash FX effect, net income doubled to EUR 5.5m, Waberer's said.

Waberer's had 2,719 lorries in its fleet during the quarter, down 6pc.
