Summer Jobs Scheme Launched for Students in Hungary

The Ministry of Social and Family Affairs said on Wednesday it has launched a summer jobs scheme for students, under which employers are provided with wage subsidies for the summer employment of full-time students and university students aged 16-25.

Employer will be eligible for HUF 279,900 of subsidies per person for jobs requiring professional qualifications, and HUF 242,100 per person for jobs for unskilled workers.

Employers can submit support applications for fixed-term employment contracts starting and ending between July 1 and August 31.

Applications are open for regional and municipal governments and their institutions performing basic municipal activities, religious legal entities, and businesses in the agriculture, tourism, hospitality, and forestry sectors.
