Missing Man who Fell from Pedalo into Balaton Found Dead
The body of a man who fell from a pedalo into Lake Balaton on Sunday was found near the shores of Siofok in the early hours of Thursday, the Somogy County Police Headquarters said. A criminal procedure has been launched on suspicion of failure to provide assistance.

The victim was a 41-year-old man from Kaposvar who fell into the lake from the water bicycle near the Siofok beach in the afternoon of June 28 and subsequently disappeared.

After the body was found, the Balaton Water Police began investigating the case under general administrative proceedings.

As the details of the case could not be clarified satisfactorily during the proceedings, the Somogy County Police Headquarters ordered a criminal investigation on suspicion of the crime of failure to provide assistance to clarify the circumstances.
