'Mitiszol?' Festival Of Natural Beverages, Millenáris Budapest, 17 November
'Mitiszol' as the Hungarian language goes, is a relatively easy one to get your head around, especially when it involves your favourite pastimes: having a drink or two. Here in the modern setting of Millenáris you could tantalise your taste buds with a great selection of drinks, both alcoholic and not. We went Saturday morning and it set up the weekend very nicely!
Mitiszol? (“me-tea-sol”, meaning “what do you drink?”) is Hungary’s drink fest themed around beverages made with the same philosophy: respecting nature (in many cases organic or even biodynamic farming), with no additives, and as little intervention + manipulation as possible during the making….so all good :-)
The result, as guests could sample, is a drink that not only tastes better but is also healthier than its conventional counterparts…music to our ears, and some would say theye were all top-notch tastes.
For sure the festival showcased a lovely selection of wines from the Carpathian Basin and also European wine regions (more than 100 in total), as well as beer, cider, pálinka, fruit juice, herbal teas, coffee, and natural fresh water, plus there were tastes of organic food products and cooked dishes, all narurally yummy!
