Same old. Travelled everywhere from New York to Riga to Istanbul to Warsaw to London
2. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you with your life in Hungary, and why?
8..... very good at the moment. I think I have found the love of my life.
3. What's the best party you've been to while in Hungary, and why?
The best parties are the spontaneous ones. Combination of good friends, beer and my eclectic music collection normally do the trick
4. What's your favourite drink?
Beer... but it can also be my downfall.
5. What hidden talents do you have?
Table tennis... I was ranked 50 in Ireland once. Poetry, I have appeared on telly in England in the late 80s reciting my own poems.
6. What was the most interesting travel trip you have ever taken?
A boat trip to the south of Chile. I felt like Christopher Columbus. I felt I was going to fall off the end of the world.
7. If you were given a wish that could come true, what would you ask for?
That the world would stop being so intolerant,
8. What's the last book you read, and movie you watched?
Stasiland by anna funder( a scary insight into the life in the old east Germany) and the iron lady( a scary insight into my teenage years and a woman who split a nation)
9. If someone wrote a biography about you, what would the title be?
I had an interesting evening with that Rupert Slade once.......
10. What is the perfect pizza toppings combination for you?
Hate pizza. Not a fan of cheese.
11. If you could trade places with any other person for a week, real or fictional, with whom would it be?
Lionel Messi......I wonder what my feet would feel like.
12. On a scale of 1 to 10 how unusual are you, and why?
1.....I am completely normal. Nothing unusual about me. How can you answer a question like that?
13. What's the best website you've ever visited, and why?
The Guardian...... it makes me nod, gets me really cross and helps me pretend I am all knowing of what is happening in the world
14. Who do you admire the most, and why?
Anybody who makes a small difference.... they are all heroes. You don't need to be famous to make a difference. Some people just don't make much difference
15. What do you like best and least about living in Hungary?
Best the summer weather and some lovely people.... the worst: nasty fascists marching outside my house in Erzsébet tér on bank holidays
16. What has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
In the past taking a job in Poland..... But the biggest impact might just be happening now.
17. If you won USD 30 million, what would you do with the money?
Look after those people I care most about and do something very philanthropic
18. If your life had a theme song, what would it be?
When you're smiling, the whole world smiles with you
19. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
I am happy where I am... you can be happy anywhere as long as your inside is happy.
20. In ten years from now what will you be doing?
Being a wise man....... I am still an enthusiastic child at heart. Perhaps I will grow up.
