The victims of Communism have seen their life annuity double from January 1, 2013. Their allowance will be raised by a further 50% in 2014. The government decision applies to those taken to the Soviet Union for forced labour, those convicted of taking part in the 1956 Uprising and the victims of show trials between 1945 and 1963.
