The European Union has done “virtually nothing” to tackle problems concerning human rights laws and practices in Hungary, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in a report. The New York-based HRW called on the EU to take appropriate action and raised concern about the Hungary’s human rights record, stemming from “a raft of problematic laws and policies” initiated by the government.

The 43-page report discusses issues concerning media freedom, the fight against intolerance and discrimination, and human rights of immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees. He also studied in the United States. In addition to his church activities he worked for Duna TV. Since 2010 he has been the vice chairman of the Lutheran World Federation.
