As the bright sun shone down, the new and elegant building of the Embassy of Belarus was officially opened in Budapest on 24th April. It was greeted by the Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alena Kupchyna and the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjarto, as well as, ambassadors of the OSCE states and representatives from the Hungarian media.

Going into the Corinthia Hotel is like going into another world and the VinCE wine exhibition just embellished that. It had many, many wonderful wines from all over the world to suit everyone’s taste. It also was a great reason, as I found, for many to take the afternoon off work on Friday and saunter around this maze of wine producers.

Hungary must have more famous photographers per capita than any other country: Capa, Kertesz, Brassai, Moholy-Nagy but Munkacsi was the one who brought movement and joie de vivre to photography.
