Destillata, the largest-scale European competition of fruit brandys (pálinka), liquors, whiskies and other spirits, came to a close with outstanding Hungarian success. This was the 23rd occasion the most prestigious Central European championship of distilleries was held. This year, the awards gala took place in the Esterházy Palace of the town of Eisenstadt, Austria.

He grew up on a Canadian farm and developed an inner resonance with the land and soil. He was trained as an architect and after a successful career in business, he rediscovered his passion to work on the land.

Going into the Corinthia Hotel is like going into another world and the VinCE wine exhibition just embellished that. It had many, many wonderful wines from all over the world to suit everyone’s taste. It also was a great reason, as I found, for many to take the afternoon off work on Friday and saunter around this maze of wine producers.
